Donors

The campaign to build the Dallas Center for the Performing Arts is the largest cultural initiative in the history of Dallas and the Southwest with a fund-raising goal of $338 million. Ninety-five percent of the funds, $257 million, will come from the private sector, and the City of Dallas has already affirmed $18 million from the 2003 bond election.

Designed as a nine-year project, the campaign is in its seventh year and has secured more than $298 million, more than 88% of its goal, in gifts and pledges. To date, more than 120 families and organizations have made gifts of $1 million and more through the Founding Family, Cornerstone and Capstone donor programs, and a similar number have made significant gifts of under $1 million, all of which have had a great impact on the campaign. Many of these gifts are from donors who have not traditionally been major supporters of Dallas' cultural organizations and many are the largest commitments the donors have made supporting a project of any kind.

The Dallas Center for the Performing Arts will change the cultural face of Dallas forever and will impact our community for generations to come, attracting new businesses and families to our city and region. Corporations, foundations, families and individuals interested in participating in this historic initiative can do so in a variety of ways through the following giving programs: Capstone Donor Program, Flagship Corporate Alliance, Landmark Foundation Partnership and Family Leadership Gifts. All gifts and grants may be paid over a multi-year period. Please contact Elisabeth Galley, Vice President for Development, for more information.
