
Caren Prothro, Vice Chair

Ms. Prothro is a resident of Dallas, Texas, where she is an active supporter of the arts and higher education. Currently serving on the Board of Trustees of the Dallas Museum of Art and Southern Methodist University, Ms. Prothro is vice chair of the AT&T Performing Arts Center Board of Directors and is also active as chair of the Center's Development Committee. Ms. Prothro has been the recipient of many awards, including the 2006 Linz Award for community service, Southwestern Medical Foundation Charles Cameron Sprague Community Service Award, The Annette G. Strauss Humanitarian Award, the Governor's Volunteer Service Award and the Juvenile Justice Community Advocacy Award, among others. She also has served on many boards, including those of the J.P. Morgan-Chase Bank of Texas, Visiting Nurses Association, Young Audiences of Greater Dallas County, Dallas County Youth Services, the YMCA, YWCA, Junior League of Dallas and the Commission on Children and Youth. She received a B.A. degree from Mills College.
